Lank's Automotives was first established in 1945 by Clarence Reinoehl Sr in a rented garage across from Healey Motors (was Shaw Motor at that time) on Fishkill Avenue and was original called Lank's Auto Body. Over the next few years, Lank's place of business moved to diferent locations around Beacon until he purchased the property that Lank's sits at now in 1957.

Clarance Reinoehl Jr. began helping his father at the age of 13, learning the business until he left for the Air Force during the Korean War. He returned to Beacon in 1957 and joined his father. Clarence Sr. retired in 1969 and Clarence Jr. Change the name Lank's Auto Body to Lank's Automotive.

Joshua Reinoehl Sr. also began learning the trade alongside his father at a young age. Joshua left for the Navy in 1978 for a four-year term. Upon returning, he worked a few shops before returning to Lank's full time. Clarence Reinoehl Jr. retired, in 2005 and Joshua took over.

Joshua Reinoehl Jr., Like his grandfather and father, began hanging at the garage at a young age. He would ride his bike across the Newburgh Beacon Bridge after school almost daily. His talent reflected on his participating in helping build a solar car at NFA and traveling all the way to Australia. He began working full time besides his father after graduation.

Codie Reinoehl, the 5th generations, began helping his grandfather and father in 2023 and is a regular helper after school. We have yet to see what the future has in storefor him.
